Anyhow, I’m shortlisted for the HAP!!

MY.. am I not a lucky guy!?!? It’s this MHA’s uniformed services associates programme for ‘potential scholars’, as they call it. I guess they really mean what they say though, with top JCs’ people making up more than three quarters of successful applicants. Yah. I can’t help but feel intimidated by the unexpected turnout and.. a little queasy too. For one, I’d never imagined myself being described as scholarly, or being called a potential scholar for that matter. It’s kinda overwhelming you know. Gonna spend a couple of days with them, and I’m just afraid I won’t be able to live up to their mark. Am I really capable? I’m so uncertain of my qualities. Psychological barrier? Or is it that I know too well of myself..?

My 2nd flickr account here. Contains shots from the remaining 2 pracs, and some other random ones. Personally, I don’t really see anything special in them.. but Instructor could praise my works to the extent that.. mm hahaz.. of course happy LAH. But I think photography has it’s beauty held in the hands of the beholder. It’s really subjective.. Trying my luck at the Montage 2006.

Went to my first YEC meeting last evening, as an observer. Okies so it’s at Leng Kee CC and my pigeon hole’s at Pasir Ris. But it’s the only opportunity I have, can’t possibly miss it right?.. It’ll be a good chance to expose myself to the different elements in life I’ve yet to acquire..

The members are really friendly lot of young adults (by that I meant they’re much older than me.. yupZ) who come from all walks of life.

So the setting goes like this: an air conditioned, formal meeting room with a huge meeting table filled with arms chairs and personal files laid out neatly before each seat, topping off with refreshment. Then, we started discussing about.. guess? Hahaz.. yeah the world cup!.. and all the fancies of the underworld etc.. lolZ. Basically we cracked a lot of jokes.. which made the meeting ever informal and lively. We did complete what we set out to do.. but it’s like.. after 2.5 hours.. -_-

Life now is fuller of life than ever. Just hope that I can cope.. along with the academics. Please Please, me, don’t slack le!!

And finally.. the last intriguing account for the entry:
In the midst of tuition class, Mr Tong suddenly spurt, “Has any girl told you you’ve got a sexy voice?” I was like… WhAt?? I just find it amusing.. cos he isn’t the first one to comment on that already..
The first was Mr Hwee when I was in sec 2, then Mrs Pang in sec 3, Mdm Kamisah in sec 4 (if i’m not wrong), and recently pillai’s cousin. So do I really have a sexy voice, which I don’t even realise? I thought my voice sounds rather weird though.. that’s partly the reason why I don’t speak very loudly bah.

It was pure coincidence that I was at the WP’s final rally at aljunied. You see.. I was supposed to have tuition that evening but it was cancelled last minute. Then I had photog duty after school. Just as I was about to leave for home, JY came over to tell me about the rally, so I went along. Hahaz.. OOO.. it was a big eye opener manZ.. what a huge crowd it was! The stadium was filled to the last square foot.. and audience spread from within, outside the stadium and even over to the car park beside. I was seated, and so got to realise this only until I left the scene, before everyone else did. XD.. the human traffic on the streets sure resembles that of Orchard Rd. Okies.. it was somewhat facetious.. and very interesting..? Yeah there were a few good shows: James Gomez.. Low Thia Kiang.. Silvia Sim.

Mr Ibrahim was rather active in the morning assembly during the election period, which was when our backs started getting soaked wet with perspiration, our legs’ endurance being put to the test, my mornings spoilt from irritation. Hahaz.. but can you imagine.. 4 electoral candidates from NY! Wonder if I should be proud of this.. but the 2 from the opposition are non other than Steve and Gomez… err.. yah.

Photog pract in college on a rainy saturday.. Unexpected returns.

Haiz.. partly because of school work and self imposed study time (day dreaming sessions to be exact).. been kept away from the com these few weeks. I’m afraid the korean drama craze had gotten the hold of me.. too.. -_- For now lah.

The notes were thought provoking.. we are never contented, are we? Perhaps I should learn to be.

… Thank you, Mr Quek.
