Went to Toa Payoh Central for dinner cuz sis gotta buy some things there. I wonder what’s so special that mom would only want to get it there.. like from Pasir Ris(?) to Toa Payoh? In any case, dad and I went on our ways to see see around this bustling foreign-looking neighbourhood. There happened to have a Cash Converter, and given my life-long interest in people’s ‘rare treasures’ I thought we should have a peek. (Btw it’s the first time I’m going in.) Naturally I’d be in the CD section. And with lots of luck, amid the hundreds of shelves and thousands of albums, I quickly chanced upon my 57th album-to-be: Studio Ghibli Songs (featuring 16 tracks from all 1984-1997 Ghibli’s anime films) and it’s in excellent condition! Ouh how I adore miyazaki’s works! The title flashed big in my eyes from a distant and it turned out later to be the only album I thought that’s cash-worthy after like 1/2 hr’s camp in there. I can’t be wrong, some magic must be working here! Oh by the way it costs only 5 bucks. *gleams*
Strange things happen after that; A chinese-owned provision shop started playing indian songs..! Amazed? I’m not done. On the way home, this particular bus cruising along the high way was lit with red lighting at the front seats so that the passengers were cramping themselves in two-thrids of the space. As this seemingly normal but uncanny scenario was playing before my very eyes, I couldn’t help but fantasize, no, realise that studio ghibli’s magic is working on me! My god! Oh.. please let me see my A levels results fly in colours too..!

(ubin cycling trip photos here)
I went cycling at ubin on sunday, which is not quite the norm cuz I don’t usually allow myself to be so active every start of the week. Pre-Monday Blues. But since it’s a democratic decision……. well it was with SuiSen, not without missing four though namely the 3 HC ‘flowers’, and Qi who had tuition..=X Anyhow it was still an enjoyable trip! We climb the Puaka(..?), soaked our feet in the forbidden fresh water quarry, revisited some memorable landmarks, and we cycled, of course. YAY the slopes wereout of the world! Haha I almost flew off a bump at one of the downslopes that’s how fast the biky went. Had 2 coconuts in all. Lunch was done with an energy bar. And I finally got my OBS shirt, thanks Kim! =D Fortunately I could wake up in time for school the next morning… *peace* Hmm perhaps we’ll ask Dean along the next time yeah?.. for his favourite skinny dipping.. HAHA XD
Oh oh! And we seem to love throwing stones, be it off the cliff or skipping them across the quarry waters. Hence the Stone Throwing Club =D *with pride*
At HC’s scholarship fair,
Mark: Hey Freda! How’s life without me?
Freda: Peaceful?
Had YEC meeting on thursday. Wasn’t as interesting this time round, partly because those few newcomers were little rowdy-like rascals whom I predict won’t be staying for long, hopefully. But it’s more that I can hardly involve myself in the upcoming events at all… sad. Guess I had lost my sanity from a super long hardy day; I could actually board the wrong train. More hilarious still, I only came to my senses when this mad old man went barging his way through to the entrance, how rude! Everyone had thought he was going to leave but he was only trying to get to the entrance, literally. So yeah, I was at Buona Vista before I could U-turn back to Pasir Ris.
So our college decided to give us our polling day holiday only on racial harmony day. Went for a swim with Bin in the morning. Then we made a really regretful trip to THAT eating place because it was so hot and dirty and stuff and stuff. And then we dropped ourselevs at national library. Attempted to complete the math tutorial but failed.
