It’s just me.

I like to call it the IKEA Effect. It’s new branch opens today and there’s a traffic jam at the nearest expressway exit. Haha a very spontaneous reaction indeed. come on leh, it’s only yet another branch. i’m sure ikea anywhere sells the same thing right?

Anyway, we decided to try out the restaurant that I’d come across at serangoon garden and have been repeatedly suggesting. Thought it’s a rather interesting dining concept. Haha.. erm the price isn’t too customer friendly though, but we went in anyway. To be fair, and honest, all I can say is 佰菇園 isn’t what every palate can appreciate =D

Oh yeah I forgot to mention in the earlier entry that i met sheila at the tampines station too, during the 20+ mins I was waiting for jon and yah his gf. I knew somehow it’s her but i refused to belive cos, what on earth would she be doing here? like hello her home is in clementi, you see. Yah. So it wasn’t until she came up to me that we say, “Hi!” But I should have known it’s her what, given that distinctive hair of hers. lol. the way she speaks is still kewl as ever. anyways hope dean hasn’t been calling her out for skinny dipping la!

Had an interview at Recruit Express this morning. Haha darren was spontaneous enough to come along=D the day didn’t start off too well though cos I set the time wrongly for the alarm to ring. but luckily I prepared a buffer. Yah. so the morning routine was done all in a rush still. miraculously though i was actually punctual for the appointment. hah.

I think i must have looked really out of place la, cos there were a couple of queery eyes on me at the station.. and platform too. esp that bunch of RGS girls, like half snickering half mocking kind of expression.. =X

Then went over to JTB to purchase the JR passes, only after missing the place twice. lol. anyways that’s the first time in my life that i’m using NETS. first time paying for something above 1000 dollars too. also the first time i’m interacting with a jap with such chemistry. hmm.. perhaps expats are friendlier?

supposed to go around hunting down a hp which we did before hitting the screen to catch Happy Feets. Was rather disappointed with the movie as I didn’t think it lived up to how su ling described it. perhaps an exception will be its graphics, which is amazingly real, BUT the adult emperor penguins aint cute at all. the plot though is as meaningless and ridiculous as it can get. i wonder if that is part of the purpose of this film, but i kept generating thoughts throughout, which could probably be the reason why i couldn’t enjoy its cartoony appeal, which i ought to have.

…even more thoughts now…

I feel rather lethargic today, ironically, cuz last night was the longest i’ve been in bed. Nothing much happened, except for the trip down to JNTO, then to Janet cuzzie’s house to borrow some guides and then lose my hp thereafter, most probably at the bus stop i think. oh yah, met joy at vivo too. hah. couldn’t recognise her in that HC uni. she looked rounder this time, perhaps due to the stress induced crave for tidbits. but today’s the last day for s papers right?… yah should be la.. then darren should be fighting for the com right this instant. lol.

can i possibly got the wrong person? it seems highly unlikely. then, i don’t know.

Visited ah ma for the first time in months and realised, as people age, it seems that one’s difference incurred with time becomes less significant.

Everybody says I lost weight.. hah. I don’t think so? Those flabs are still there.. doesn’t seem like it’s lost even an ounce. But it’s like, whenever some adult who hasn’t seen you for long, they’ll tend to make a fuss about some change in you, whether those remarks are true or not. Dont’ they?

Came across an article on tweens. Also recall, another article talking about the growing young-at-heart phenomenon… why everybody wants to be teens!? Privacy intrusion. copycats. Again justifying the power of the media and market forces. Of course i wish something can be done, at least to save those ‘overly exposed’ kids but, exceeded bandwidth? It’s interesting to watch on. Seeing what happens next.
