things in life, they just happen, don’t they? suddenly, i won’t be going austria anymore but paris instead. and i also met this lady for a brief survey, who happens to be a senior at SDE and who subsequently acquainted me to something that’s a whole new thing to me. all these in a mere week. but i guess i’m kinda getting used to it already. this constant stream of unexpected surprises that pop up from time to time when i least expect them. i always don’t expect.. that’s how i saw it. but gradually it seems that.. i’m not that afraid anymore. this uncertainty of events that seem cued to unfold.. finding that i’ve simply taken it in my stride; yes they happen, they always do.. so?
during the conversation with Meiyee, i realised what my short term goals are.. stuff i wanna do in the immediate or near future. work parttime.. volunteering overseas.. eventually to graduate with a masters degree as an aspiring architect. but things change. they just don’t happen the way you expect them, they always don’t. seeing people dedicate considerable time and effort towards a goal that they eventually (have to) let go, how’s that? i can’t understand this fact of life. but it happens. and it’ll happen to me too.
